The Black Death: The Medieval Plague Pandemic – NEW!


This module, “The Black Death: The Medieval Plague Pandemic through the Eyes of Ibn Battuta,” introduces students to the origin and causes of the Second Plague Pandemic. Drawing on the latest work in the sciences and history, the module uses the world traveler, Ibn Battuta, to reconstruct a global history of this demographic catastrophe.
