New Module Published! — Africans and the African Diaspora in World War I

Posted on March 17, 2024March 17, 2024 by JesseSpohnholz

We are happy to announce the publication of yet another History for the 21st Century module! Our newest module is Africans and the African Diaspora in World War I, submitted by Wendy Urban-Mead at Bard College. That lesson begins with a standard narrative of the Great War, but then asks how we understand it differently, including its global relevance, when we center the experiences of Black Africans and African Americans.
